Joe Wilson's wife helping him reclaim the narrative:

"I said 'Joe, who's the nut who hollered out, "You lie"?'" Roxanne Wilson says. "I couldn't believe Joe would say that."

She explains, however, that "he is very passionate."

"I think the president's been very gracious to my husband in accepting his apology," Mrs. Wilson says. The Congressman "doesn't deserve the treatment he's been getting from Congress."

Rep. Wilson apologizes:

“This evening I let my emotions get the best of me when listening to the President’s remarks regarding the coverage of illegal immigrants in the health care bill. While I disagree with the President’s statement, my comments were inappropriate and regrettable. I extend sincere apologies to the President for this lack of civility.”
