President Carter Continues to Protect His Legacy as "Worst President Ever"

President Carter continued his ride on the crazy train with his latest comment about President Bush being behind the coup against Chavez:

Former US president Jimmy Carter says that Washington may have played a role in a failed coup against Venezuelan leftist leader Hugo Chavez in 2002.

"I think there is no doubt that in 2002, the United States had at the very least full knowledge about the coup, and could even have been directly involved," Carter told Colombian paper, El Tiempo, on Sunday.

In April 2002, a civilian-military junta ousted Chavez for about 48 hours, but he returned to power again.

Former administration of president George W. Bush denied any US involvement in the failed coup.

President Carter says Rep. Wilson is Motivated by Racism

President Carter has stated Joe Wilson's outburst was motivated by racism:

Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst to President Barack Obama during a speech to Congress last week was an act "based on racism" and rooted in fears of a black president.

"I think it's based on racism," Carter said at a town hall held at his presidential center in Atlanta. "There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president."

The Georgia Democrat said the outburst was a part of a disturbing trend directed at the president that has included demonstrators equating Obama to Nazi leaders.
