Busted For Slapping Stranger's Crying Child

Guy tells this woman to shut her kid up or he will do it for her. He ends up arrested with a felony. Stupid people.

The Georgia man, 61, was shopping Monday morning at a Walmart in Stone Mountain when he crossed paths with Sonya Matthews and her two-year-old daughter Paige. The child was crying, which apparently greatly perturbed Matthews. "If you don't shut that baby up I will shut her up for you," Stephens warned Matthews, according to a Gwinnett County Police Department report. Moments later, Stephens acted on his threat, slapping Paige "across the face approximately four or five times." Though the child "started crying and screaming" after being struck, Stephens told Matthews, "See, I told you I would shut her up."

Bank Of America Asks Armless Man For Thumbprint

This company has to be run by the government. I'm pretty sure there are some violations with the Americans with Disabilities Act here...but I'm not a lawyer.

A Florida man was unable to cash a Bank of America check because the bank required a thumbprint, and he had no arms.

WTSP has the story of Steve Valdez, who tried to cash a Bank of America check written by his wife to him. He took the check to a BoA branch, presented two forms of picture ID, and was prevented from cashing the check because he couldn't provide a thumbprint. The manager refused to accommodate Valdez, suggesting that he open an account if he wanted to cash the check.

Stupid at its finest

This is one of the more stupid things I have read in awhile...parents want to ban the ice cream man:

One woman describes the ice cream men as "predatory" because they loiter inside the playground's gates. My favorite passage from the article is a quote from a woman who says that learning how to deal with your children wanting treats from the ice cream man is as difficult as potty training. "The ice cream truck, nobody ever mentions that” as a potential sore spot, the lady laments.

What is wrong with these parents? If they don't want their little angel having ice cream, this would be an excellent opportunity to teach Little Johnny how to resist temptation.

Waynesville man calls 911 of intent to rob bank

Man calls 911 on himself:

Terrence Joseph Germani, who investigators believe walked to the Wachovia on Russ Avenue from his house on Parsley Street, was on the line with a dispatcher as he opened the bank's front door.

He calmly told the dispatcher he was wearing a black shirt and white shoes and was not armed. He also said he had been mentally unstable all of his life.

“I've got a note, I am going to rob the bank,” he said. “I need to go to prison. I can't live like this anymore.”

I blame Bush.

Teaching Moment For Us All

The firefighters in Waipahu left food unattended and their firehouse burnt down. If they had a sprinkler system in their fire house, or maybe a smoke detector, this may not have happened. Seriously, a smoke detector can alert you to a potential fire. And a sprinkler system can actually put the fire out- even when you are not there.

Man tries to steal $14T from the IRS. Seriously? Did he actually think he was going to succeed? Doesn't he know you start out small and then build up to the $14T? You can't get rich overnight. Sheesh
