A new scandal is on the horizon and it has Dick Cheney's fingerprints alllll over it. Super secret, inside information has been leaked that the CIA had a plan to eliminate Osama Bin Laden and his guys. Shhh...don't tell anyone. It's a secret. No one is supposed to know that the CIA might have had something in the works to rid the world of the dude behind the man-made disasters....and Cheney is the one who cooked it up.

With Speaker Pelosi caught in the web of her own deceit over what the CIA told her about “torture,” and the Obama administration in the middle of its latest 180-degree reversal over CIA interrogators (Attorney General Holder is now considering prosecutions despite Obama’s promise of no prosecutions), Democrats have trumped up a charge that the CIA, on the orders of Vice President Dick Cheney, failed to notify Congress that it was contemplating — not implementing, but essentially brainstorming about — plans to kill or capture top al-Qaeda figures.

Isn't this one of those things that we know is true but we don't talk about. Kinda like when your mother-in-law says she is coming to visit for two weeks and you are dreading it. You don't mention your misery during the time she's there, but everyone knows she's a nag...they just don't talk about it.

MJ hasn't been buried a week and Joe Jackson has plans to exploit his children. He plans on having them travel the world as the "Jackson 3". Because, ya know, it worked out so well for Michael it deserves a repeat.

Reporter plants racist comments so he can report on racist comments

Gawker has a story up how a journalist has been advocating on his DailyKos diary for liberals to plant racist comments on conservative sites and then call conservatives out on their racist comments.

It gets worse, though. Chris Parry, it appears, has advocated on his Daily Kos blog any number of egregious offenses, among them: posting hate speech on sites like Free Republic and blaming it on conservatives. Parry posted under the name "hollywoodoz" on Daily Kos, where his signature was "Fool me once, I'll punch you in the fucking head." Parry outed himself as hollywoodoz here, where he discloses the company he helped start. In essence: Parry, the journalist, found his story right where he'd been circling it for a very long time, and reported it as news. Sigh.

This is what passes as professional journalism today.

UPDATE: Another shining example of journalistic integrity. Not a good day for liberal journalist.

CNN has the top 100 places to live and Louisville, CO is ranked number one. Surprisingly, LA didn't make the top 10. But that's where all the pretty people live. Shouldn't that trump all the other stupid cities?

Obama announces new Surgeon General. Apparently, Dr. Oz didn't want to leave his Oprah gig, so Obama had to settle for Dr. Regina Benjamin.

Unfortunately, she's not as cool as his first choice and there is no record of her recording mucic with Michael Jackson.

She did, however, dance with Foofa on Yo Gabba Gabba.

Sotomayor confirmation hearings begin today. Short of finding a young boy dead in her basement, I think she will be confirmed. But, it looks like the Republicans are not going to make it easy on her.

Liberals heart black people

They just prefer to love them from afar.

You know the story about the black kids that got kicked out of the pool club in Philadelphia because of concern of the black kids "might change the complexion and atmosphere" of the pool? They were given their money back and told they weren't welcome at the private swim club any longer.

Turns out the Director of the swim club that booted the black kids (....big Obama supporter. He's an O!Positive Progressive. Show of hands how many of you are surprised by this.

Not to worry, though. The Private Pool President, John Duesler, says it was all just a misunderstanding. People misunderstood him when he said in his statement, "There was concern that a lot of kids would change the complexion … and the atmosphere of the club". This has NOTHING to do with race. According to the members of the pool, they are upset because they paid money for a PRIVATE pool, and the club is allowing summer camps to use the pool. And the pool was "overcrowded" and that's not safe.

And by private and overcrowded, they mean...they paid money to insure the undesirables were kept out. If they wanted their kids to swim with the undesirables, they would let them swim at the public pool.

And by undesirables, I mean not white. Liberals heart black people, but will only associate with the clean and articulate ones.

Hey, lookie over there

TigerHawk finds the Obama administration's desire to investigate Bush, less than desirable.

Call me a cynic, but I am not in the least surprised that a couple of weeks after Barack Obama's strong approval/disapproval ratings took a turn to the unfavorable and Obamacare is looking less like a lead pipe cinch it is suddenly time to investigate the Bush administration.

I don't think that investigating Bush will work. As the economy continues to nosedive and we incur more debt, American's are going to become less and less concerned about the Bush administration and more concerned about paying their bills. I could see this one backfiring if Obama isn't careful.

McCain Campaign

I have been saying since the election that McCain's campaign advisor's did not serve him well. First you have the article in Variety, where Nicole Wallace and Steve Schmidt were fingered as the "source". Now you have this... just more evidence of to support my theory.

But on the subject of linking Obama to ex-Weatherman Bill Ayers, it turns out that Palin hadn't gone rogue. Balz and Johnson answer this question pretty definitively. They've obtained an e-mail from campaign adviser Nicolle Wallace sent to Palin on the morning of October 4rd, with an attached New York Times article about Obama's relationship with Ayers.

Turns out that the McCain campaign was a week away from running an ad linking Obama to Ayers. The e-mail from Wallace, according to Balz and Johnson, reads as follows: "Governor and Team: rick [Davis], Steve [Schmidt] and I suggest the following attack from the new york times. If you are comfortable, please deliver the attack as written. Please do not make any changes to the below without approval from steve or myself because precision is crucial in our ability to introduce this."

Something tells me Palin's book will be very interesting...if she decides to spill the beans.

And anyone who hires those two tards to manage their campaign after all this coming out, deserves to lose.

You asked for it, You got it. Obamacare

Mickey Kaus points out the obvious:

Health care reformers are clearly spooked by the notion that they could be accused of denying, for example, hip surgery to an 80-year-old. If so, they largely have themselves to blame. They brought it up! It wasn't the Republicans who billed health care reform as a cost saving, budget-balancing measure that would start to deny payments for treatments deemed "ineffective," or (as one acolyte put it) when "a person's life, or health, is not worth the price." And to think when they heard that people started to worry about rationing! Fancy that.

I don't understand how the Obama administration plans to implement a health care system just like Canada and UK's, but somehow will run it better. It's like instead of a Health Care Czar, they have a Health Care Fairy.

Sally Quinn has the most duplicitous article about Governor Palin. It's almost as if she is delusional.

I'd like to know the names of those mean-spirited adults who mocked and ridiculed her special needs child. I don't believe it for a second.

Does she live in a cave? How about here, here, here, here here, here, here, here, here, and here? There's more...do a google search for Trig+retard and you will get 159,000 results.

Remember, Sarah Palin is a right-wing, evangelical Christian for whom "family values" and the role of the mother are paramount. Many right-wing Christians don't believe women should work outside the home. Yet here was Sarah Palin, resigning as the governor of Alaska, for political reasons.

This is not putting your family first. We should not be surprised.

That doesn't even make sense? Quinn says that Palin mentioned in her speech that one of the reasons she was resigning was because of the effect it had on her family, such as making fun of her special needs child - which Quinn acknowledge...but then says she didn't put her family first. What?

This is a woman who accepted the nomination for vice president with a three-months-old special needs child (all studies show that the mother's role in infancy, especially for these children, is crucial) and an unwed 17-year-old daughter pregnant by another high-schooler.

So is Ms. Quinn advocating women should stay home and raise children? That can't have careers and a family? hmmm, interesting.

This is a woman who took her children to the convention and paraded them on the stage, including Trig, (not in bed until late hours) and pregnant Bristol and her soon to be announced fiancé ("whatever"). This is a woman who then spent two months on the road, relentlessly campaigning, dragging the baby around with her (or not with her).

I like how she has both bases covered here...Palin is a horrible mother for "dragging her baby around with her" and she also is sure to criticize her for "not dragging her baby around" with her. Didn't Obama have his kids on stage almost every night of the DNC? Wasn't it past his young children's bedtime?

Yet when David Letterman made his remark about her daughter being knocked up, Palin blew it up into a national media fest which lasted for a week. Letterman rightly apologized, and acknowledged that he was not referring to her younger daughter but to Bristol. Palin knew that Letterman was making a joke about Bristol, but she still dragged poor Willow into the mud as well.

This is the most disingenuous piece of tripe. Palin dragged poor Willow into the mud? Seriously? That's how you saw that event play out? You acknowledge that Letterman RIGHTLY apologized, but Palin was wrong for saying something? Would he have RIGHTLY apologized if she had stayed silent? Was Letterman's comment acceptable or not? Would Ms. Quinn sit by silently while a late night comedian trashed her daughter with sexual jokes? Or does Palin's daughter deserve the harassment because she's...ya know...got a mother you don't like?

I don't know what Palin has in mind. Maybe she'll run for President, maybe she won't. I couldn't care less.

Oh, but I think you do care. If you don't care, then why are you writing about her? Why not just ignore her. You can't make yourself relevant, only others can do that. And continuing to give attention and press to Palin only continues to make her relevant.

Of all the turds, Ms. Quinn is the shiniest.

CBS had this headline about Bush - "Bush Back Rub Gets Big Play". Obama? Nothing.
ABC had this headline about Bush - "Doing business abroad? Simple faux pas can sink you" Obama? Eh, nothing really. Except Jake Tapper telling us, in his blog, the picture is not what it looks like.
NBC had this headline about Bush - "Bush’s German back rub magnified on YouTube". Obama? Nada

Time even has the Bush incident listed as a Top 10 Embarrassing Diplomatic Moment. Will Obama make the list?

Mo' Money

Fewer economist favor another stimulus...but I'm sure that won't stop our Congressmen and President from passing another one.

Most economists believe the U.S. doesn't need another round of stimulus now despite expectations of continued severe job losses.

Just eight of 51 economists in The Wall Street Journal's latest forecasting survey said more stimulus is necessary, suggesting an average of about $600 billion in additional spending. On average, the economists forecast an unemployment rate of at least 10% through next June, with a decline to 9.5% by December 2010.

But, CNN has found a way to spin a yarn of good news in these bad economic times.

The Real Reason Palin Resigned

No more guessing why Plain resigned. Ricky Hollywood has spoken.

The former fiance of Gov. Sarah Palin's 18-year-old daughter says he thinks he knows why the Alaska governor is resigning — concerns over money.

...Johnston says he lived with the Palin family from early December to the second week in January. He claims he heard the governor several times say how nice it would be to take advantage of the lucrative deals that were being offered, including a reality show and a book.

...."I think the big deal was the book. That was millions of dollars," said Johnston, who has had a strained relationship with the family but now says things have improved.

Something tells me that "improved relationship" has now gone back to strained.

Johnston made his comments at a news conference Thursday at the office of his attorney, Rex Butler.

Johnston came forward, Butler said, because Alaskans want to know why Palin has decided to resign. She made the announcement last Friday.

Seriously? He held a press conference? I bet he was the first person Palin told. I can't wait to find out what else she told him. Bristol should have taken the car her dad offered her to dump this guy.
